Mmmm. Donuts – Audioblog #2
Interesting sexy voiced banter about asanine perfectionists eating donuts.
Enjoy!

Spam, Wonderful Spam (not)
Do companies hire people to post spam on blogs? Since opening up commenting for everyone last night without registering, my Askimet spam has stopped 20 spam links from flooding my posts. I have my comment moderation set to grab your name and email address for the first posting. When I approve your first comment, you’re all set. However, in less than 18 hours after doing that simple act, I was singing the Monty Python song unconsciously.
I’m guessing dumbasses out there actually buy the crap these losers are peddling, because if no one did, they wouldn’t be doing it.
Right?
Fighting for a spam and pineapple free world…

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Fridge Magnets!
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Fridge Magnets!
I’m snowed in today with a sick toddler to boot, so I’ve been refreshing blogs left and right, when she’s been sleeping. So thanks for giving me something to do. I used to have a lot of fridge magnets, but we’ve moved a few times in the past year and those have gone in the trash.
While I love the magnetic photo frames, my favorite on there is the Boston Red Sox victory next to the Champion New England Patriots.
If you’re wondering what the magnets with the balls are, they are Magnetix. I bought them for my 6 year old who like spreading them all over the house causing a bit of an issue with my 18 month old. Instead of throwing them away, they became useful again! They are quite fun as well! I spelled out Hi to all of you readers.

Snow, Snuggles and Sick
Here is a pic of my poor baby Allyson today. She’s not feeling too well, so we’ve been snuggling on the couch all morning while I try to get her fever down from 103.2. She’s completely miserable.
Wish me luck in trying to get her better. What complicates matters is that we’ve got 5 inches of snow on the ground as well, so any trip to El doctor would be treacherous. Luke warm baths and alternating Motrin and Tylenol seems to be working fairly well.
I can always tell when she’s really sick, because she talks in her sleep. Last night, I heard “Uh Oh” and “Mommy” and she even sang the first few bars from the Star Wars Theme in her usual, “doo, doo Doo doo doo DOO doo.” That was rather jarring at 3 a.m. I admit, I slept next to her to keep an eye on her. What a bed hog!

Fixed Commenting
There was no where to register when you wanted to comment. I’m hoping people wanted to, but just couldn’t figure out how. So now, it’s very similar to John Scalzi and Peter Hodges’ site. All you have to do is fill out your name and email adress, I will approve your comment and once I’ve done so once, you will be all set to post again with no roadblocks!
Sorry for the confusion! Post away!

A voice in the dark – Audio Blog 1
I’m a little nervous. Please let me know what you think! If you like them, I’ll continue with them. If you don’t, I might continue with them anyway.

Is this thing on?
I would like to start audio blogs, so I’m testing wordpress’ ability to host media files.
Here’s a little song I’ve sung that was originally written and performed by Norah Jones.
Did I mention I’m a karaoke freak?

The Guilt List
Peter Hodges wants to know what you read/recommend and while I responded to his post at his site, I figured this topic deserved it’s own space here.
I love books. I read as much as I can when I can. ‘When’ being the operative word here as I am a single mom with three children, have a full time job, I’m an avid gamer when the kidlings are in bed, and love to write. I have to force myself to make time for reading, otherwise, the stack of books just builds and builds.

Renaissance – Chapter Two: Memories
Looking into the mirror, Ella took stock of what was reflected back before her. She grimaced as she traced the top of her head to her chin with a slender hand.
“I hate this color.” Speaking aloud to a non-existent audience, she played with the locks that entangled her fingers.
Once again, she had changed her hair. Normally, her preference was a long pretty blond mane with red highlights. The woman who stared back sported short dark auburn curls, which gave her features a tired and gaunt look.
She splashed water on her face, then looked for any other signs of change. As she accessed her memories, the scar above her temple registered as new. She smiled as she rubbed the shallow remnants of the injury and remembered her adventurous spirit as a child.
